Spring is a beautiful time of year for me. Honestly, the winters in Massachusetts can be really bad with tons of snow and blizzards, so when the first hints of spring start showing like little green blades of grass I get excited.
I’ve seen pictures of this Topiary for your dinner table floating around online and I love the freshness it has. So I decided to make one myself and share how you can make one of your own! It’s a nice fresh-looking centerpiece that you can use to decorate your dining room table. It didn’t take a lot of materials either.
So if you’re looking to bring in some of that springtime flare into your home this is perfect for you!
This project doesn’t have many items involved, but it does take time to make.

* Garland with flat leaves
* A glue gun with properly fitting glue,
* A foam cone

1.) The first thing you want to do is hide the white of the foam cone that you bought so that it can’t be seen under the leaves, so you’ll want to take your black acrylic craft paint.
2.) You’re going to want to separate the leaves on your garland. If they come in sets of two like mine did, you will need to separate them by cutting them apart. For individual leaves on the garland, you should be able to just pull the leaf from the garland. Also, don’t be afraid to separate the cloth part of the leaf from its plastic “ribs” as shown in the picture below.

3.) Glue the lemons in the places you would like.
4.) This is the tricky part and will require a little bit of an eye for detail. You’re going to take the leaves and cut and glue them in such a way that you hide the foam. I suggest putting large leaves to cover large areas and then layering smaller leavest on top. don’t glue the leaves completely down either. You want them to have a natural look by sticking out a bit. Once you’re happy with how it looks you’re finished!
