In this episode, I will show you how to make a luxurious Italian Hot Chocolate and a fun Christmas Chow you can munch on while watching a festive film.
Italian Hot Chocolate:
Ingredients (Serves 2)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
2-3 teaspoons cornstarch
50 grams or about a 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips (around 60%)
1 1/2 cups milk
Whipped Cream, or Marshmallows as garnish
Instructions:
1.) Add your coco powder, powdered sugar, cornstarch, dark chocolate chips, and milk to a small saucepan.
2.) Heat it over medium heat while whisking continuously until the mixture becomes bubbly and thick.
3.) Pour and Serve with Whipped Cream or Marshmallows as a garnish.
Christmas Chow:
Ingredients:
2 cups salted snacking pretzels
1 1/2 bags of white chocolate chips or White Creme Chips.
1 bag Christmas M&M's (any flavor will do. I use Peanut M&M).
1 cup lightly salted cocktail peanuts
3 cups rice or corn Chex cereal
2 cups Cheerios
Instructions:
1.) Mix your pretzels, peanuts, Chex, and Cheerios in a large bowl.
2.) Melt your White Chocolate Chips in a microwave or double boiling method.
3.) Pour the melted White Chocolate Chips over your dry pretzels, peanuts, and cereals and mix.
4.) Once the Chocolate has cooled a little, add in your M&M's and mix. If you add in the M&M's too soon the colors could bleed and if you add them too late they won't adhere to the rest of the mixture.
5.) Pour the mixture on a lined baking sheet and allow it to cool. Break up and place into a bowl to serve.
