I recently decided to get a Halloween bundle from Maniology and I have to say I was NOT disappointed by what I got! I got two stamping plates, a special Halloween themed scrap and stamper, as well as three gorgeous polishes to try. Not only will I review how this product worked for me, but I’ll also show you a custom design I did using the polishes I had on hand.
What’s better than fixing yourself a mug of hot chocolate or pumpkin spiced latte, and settling down to do a simple craft while watching something spooky. The best thing is this highly edible garland is not only pretty cheap to make, but has a nice impact for windows, or your fireplace mantel.
I remember being a little girl sitting with my mother as she cleaned out the master bedroom closet. It was full of old picture books of relatives, my baby photos, and a box….when I opened the box there were some peculiar items that were both strange and weirdly cute. They were preserved shrunken apple heads! My mother had made them when she was in art school. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them, but I can still recall their strange features. One was smiling with a big toothy grin, and another was laughing, and I knew that one day I’d have to recreate them.
If you’re looking for something tasty and healthy this is a great recipe to try out. It tastes very similar to the kind of food you’d get with take-out. It’s packed with fresh veggies and really easy to make and the dipping sauce is absolutely fantastic! Perfect to make if your mom likes Asian food.
It’s no secret that I love Latino food and one item, in particular, is my favorite. Mexican Street Corn is a cob of corn on a stick and that covered in usually mayo and some spices and a salty cheese called Cotija and it is DELICIOUS!!!! Seriously, it’s one of my favorite things to eat. I have to say that this recipe I’m about to give you that in soup form. It’s creamy and delicious and topped with bacon and cotija soup and the best part is, it serves 4 really well!
Spring is starting to show all over Massachusetts and….we’re
stuck safe inside our homes. But just because Covid_19 has us in our homes doesn’t mean we can’t make our homes smell just like a beautiful spring day. So today I’ll be sharing that delicious recipe with you.
This month I have searched the internet for some of the coolest things in regards to love. This contains articles from everything from the history of lingerie, to how well the Welsh know how to spoon! So even if you didn’t find this month particularly romantic, perhaps you’ll find it a bit more educational.
I had this idea while playing around with Snapchat and wishing I had a better background than a blank wall. While this did require some supplies and time to create, it looks amazing and can really perk up any room. I currently have it brightening up my mantel (yes that’s my wedding photo in the picture!), but I’ve also had it as wall decor in my office!
Tomorrow celebrations will be held for the year of the rat!!! So to all my fellow rats out there, this post is for you where we’ll take some time to learn a little about the Chinese Zodiac as well as some fun ideas to celebrate it!
To start off, let’s discuss what the Chinese zodiac even is. It’s actual orgins are foggy at best but the story itself revolves around 12 animals. These included the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Chicken, Dog, and Pig. There are several versions of the story, told by anyone from the Jade Emperor to the Buddha but the basics is that the animals are invited to the palace for either a dinner party or a race. On the way, The Rat came firt because he road on the nose of the Ox.
While I’m not Chinese, I found that my zodiac animal is pretty accurate, and it’s kind of fun to see all the celebrations in Chinatown!
