When I think of Summer I think of camping, and while that may have not happened this year, I was able to find this delicious and fun drink that embodies all of that. This flaming cocktail not only tastes just like a S’more, but you can actually roast a few marshmallows over it when you set it on fire!
I can remember sitting on my couch watching the Kardashians and admiring their lushes home bar. My “bar” at this point was just a sad mini-fridge and looked very…college dorm-like. I wasn’t very proud of it. However, instead of remaining jealous, I started to consider what I could do to dress up this space. I thought up this hack and not only does it look gorgeous, but it wasn’t that expensive either!
This was the first mixed drink I made when I started to get into the art of making mixed drinks. Growing up in Florida, the only drinks I really knew were touristy mixed drinks. I’m not saying you can’t have a Manhattan or a Cosmopolitan in Florida, but the subtropical climate almost demands something refreshing and fruity. This embodies everything you want in a sweat refreshing drink that you can enjoy by a pool with your burger.
I’ve been making this drink for a while now and to be honest it’s my go-to when I want something fun in the evenings. The combo of Amaretto and Vanilla Flavored Vodka causes this drink to not even taste alcoholic. The recipe is also super simple to make!
I had good intentions. I went to the store to buy ingredients for last weeks Guinness, Jameson Whiskey and Baileys Irish Cream Recipe. The problem was, I didn’t exactly know how much Baileys to get, so faced with spending $40 on a massive bottle I wasn’t sure I’d ever use, I grabbed ten of those little airline bottles worth and brought them home. Needless to say, the cupcake recipe went really really well, but now I had Bailey’s leftovers, as well as one of the worst colds I’ve had in a very long time.
Considering this post is for St. Patricks day, it’s a fine time to try out a drink recipe! While hopped up on Dayquil and snooping around Pinterest I found a link that went to another link which eventually led to the Baileys website with a recipe on a basic Baileys Martini!
