How to Make this Honey and Oat Face Mask

I adore this mask. It’s easy to make and you probably already have the ingredients in your pantry! Because it’s readily available, it easy to throw it together any time you want a little pampering and it’s great for all skin types too!

Not only is honey sweet, but it does amazing things for the skin! According to Medical News Today, science has shown that honey can fight infections and heal wounds. This is good news if you struggle with acne. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which also calms and soothes breakouts. It also has anti-aging benefits which will keep your skin looking fresh and youthful.

Oatmeal is also really good for your skin too. If you’ve ever had chickenpox your parent may have given you a bath with oatmeal in it. This is because Oatmeal is an anti-inflammatory as well and soothes the skin. This is because Oatmeal contains zinc which is also helpful if you struggle with acne breakouts. During the winter I often struggle with dry skin because of the cold. Oatmeal is a light exfoliant as well as a natural moisturizer which will help get your skin glowing. I got this recipe from A Cultivated Nest.

This only has four ingredients, one of which comes right from your own kitchen skin!

1.) Take your oats and put them through your food processor a few times. If you have a coffee grinder that’s even better and will make the consistency of the oats finer.

2.) Mix all the ingredients together until the consistency is thick yet spreadable.

3.) Apply it to your clean face. If you find that the mixture is thin and prone to dripping, place a towel over your clothes.

4.) Leave on for around 10-15 minutes. Rinse off and enjoy your soft skin! If you have a favorite moisturizer you can apply this too.

I love this recipe because of its convenience and it’s hard to say no to something that is so easy to make where you already have all of the ingredients on hand. If you find it difficult to carve out little moments of self-care, this is easy, cheap, and convenient and it’s so simple to make there are very little reasons why you can’t have a nice time for yourself.
